But, I have Life Insurance
at Work!
This is a common response from many Brothers and their wives. But, all too much we see the serious financial impact of the lack of group Life Insurance has on a family after we are finished working. The benefit of Life Insurance at work is Group Insurance. You do Not have an individual policy, you do not have, growth in the policy, you do not have, cash values to receive, you do not have the right to have it pay for itself in time, AND, you usually pay for anything over $50,000. Oh! It has its reasons to keep it. First of all it is cheap, so load up on it. Your employer will like this because they get the tax deduction. It is convenient because they usually reduce your paycheck by the cost (over $50,000) so you never see the outlay of cash. This is all well and fine. It is a good idea also we all need as much coverage as possible.
Now the reality hits. When you leave your job, or when they dismiss you, or when you retire, you have nothing. The company dissolves you policy and you have nothing. Now because your assets have grown you need more protection and you try to get more coverage, now you possibly are unable to qualify. If you can qualify you will pay as a senior citizen and discover that it is very expensive. Many companies recently have had takeovers, and mergers causing this to happen to Brothers locally. The answer my Brothers is to think ahead. Have you own insurance. One that you control, one that you know will never leave you, and one that will never increase in cost. You can use the dividends, in time, to make the premiums and use the cash values in an emergency along the way.
Don’t rely on your boss to protect you family, you can have your cake and eat it too. I can show you the many benefits of being an entrepreneur in your own policy. I can show you how you can rely on yourself and set up a safety net for your future. And all with Catholic support in mind. Think ahead; think safe and think of your loved ones.
